Airplanes
Steve and I flew from Marion to Naples on December 30. The first time I've flown in about 12 years. But, my back is out and we were not sure how long it would be before I could drive for two days. So, I'm here and ready to see everyone and get started on AMOS.

Group starts again
So Larry is making arrangements for our first meeting of the year to be Sunday, November 15 (I think). I plan to arrive in Naples sometime that afternoon so I'm hoping to be there. Can't wait to visit with everyone and catch up on all our family happenings.
There is no "theme" for food this time, just bring something.
The first meeting we will discuss the question posed by the minister's sermon that morning. Hope to see everyone there.

God's House
Steve and I have attended several Sunday services at God's House which is downtown Marion. It seems to be a ministry of a church in Kokomo. Steve is enjoying the fantastic music. And, he finds the minister engaging.
I still am a member of Hanfield. I attend Bible study there. I am on a committee which writes ABF studies and daily studies from the pastor's sermon. Etc.
Wednesday morning women's Bible study just started this past Wednesday. We are doing a book called "Me, Myself, and Lies." It is about our thought closets and the lies we tell ourself.
Only about six weeks until we're back in Florida. Hurray!

Busy, busy
Kathie and Rudy will stop by for a visit next weekend. Very excited about that. My single son, Tim, proposed to Krista (the girl with him at my party) so now we are planning a wedding for May 22, 2010. Tim also has been accepted to the fall class of Law School Indiana University in Indianapolis. That also starts next week.
My niece had her baby, Elias, July 23. She and baby are in very good help. Sadly, the company her husband works for is declaring bamkruptcy so he is out of a job.
We have had a very busy summer. Will be glad to return to Naples for a slower pace. We will be returning right before Thanksgiving but, because of the Spring wedding will have to return sooner than usual.
I miss everyone and wonder what's going on in your lives.

Summer Schedules
The Jeremiah study was fascinating but I got brain-logged. I will study the second part of Jeremiah in November and hope my brain has cured itself enough I can pick up the last 2-3 lessons of the first part.
My Bible Study "Sweeter Than Chocolate" started last Wednesday. It is a study of Psalm 119. I have four ladies come to my house.
Miss our group and each one individually.

Precepts
Tomorrow I drive to Chattanooga to study on the Precept Ministries campus. I will study Matthew 14-28 for eight lessons. The next study is Jeremiah 1-24. I'm always excited to go and spend everyday in study and fellowship. I am so thankful to have this opportunity.

Already July
I received my first package of CDs of the services I've missed and I was shocked that I have been gone that long. I have to say the sermon on abortion was pretty interesting. Maybe I've been out of the loop but I've never heard the word pro-mercy. Have any of you?

I'm totally missing group
I'm feeling separated from lots of people important to me. It's difficult because at the same time, I'm so happy to see my granddaughter trying to take steps and my grandson loving for me to spend every minute with him. Mason and I will be taking our first adventure next week. I've called our special time together "adventures" and I try to plan something to learn AND enjoy. We'll be going to the ethenol plant and visiting the loading area where ethenol is loaded into trucks and trains. I'm hoping he'll love that. He has Thomas the Train toys and loves them.
I have been able to round up four people so I can try to teach a Bible study. As you know, this is very new for me. I have talked with Pastor and had him review the study so I've been "cleared." Cris, my Bible study teacher up here, will be attending so I'll have backup if I get stuck and someone to make sure I'm leading in an effective way. I've asked my neighbor across the street and two of my friends. One of them is Catholic. The study is called "Sweeter Than Chocolate" and is an inductive study of Psalm 119. We will start in August and it's a six-week study.
Let me know what you're studying.

Beautiful Day -
What is the study for next meeting? And what is the food theme. Maybe I can coordinate my meal with yours. And who is leading and what are we studying? You will still send me the lesson, won't you?

Submission

The discussion on the current lesson about submission will be lively and I'm sorry to miss it. We interpret the word submission a bit differently than the Greek intended. What is the Greek word used and what was the original meaning. Where in the text is the identical Greek word used? Draw a diagram of the line of submission that God put into place for His world. Miss everybody already. Phyllis

Phyllis is in Marion
We have arrived safely in Marion. I have visited with my mother, my kids and grandkids. My grass is very green and very tall. Some of my flowers are blooming. Indiana is beautiful this time of year.
